I am an Artificial Intelligence (AI) research scientist.
I finished my PhD in Computer Science at Graz University of Technology,
at the
Institute of Machine Learning and Neural Computation
(former name: Institute of Theoretical Computer Science) under the supervision of
Dr. Robert Legenstein,
and my Master's in Computer Science at the same institute, under the supervision of
Prof. Wolfgang Maass.
After my PhD, I did a one-year postdoc on AI for medical data analysis at the
Diagnostic and Research Institute of Pathology at the Medical University of Graz.
My interest in computer science began at a technical high school in Bosnia, where I was introduced to data structures and algorithms through competitive programming.
I had the privilege of representing my school at the Bosnian Informatics Olympiad in 2010, 2011, and 2012. I am especially grateful to Prof. Nada Vasiljević and Igor Perić for their invaluable mentorship during this formative period.
